Light It Up Christmas Tourney

Harriman High School "Light It Up" Classic saw a lot of great basketball action during the tournament this year! All teams represented their respective schools very well. The highlight of the tournament for this year is that the Blue Devils won all of their games and no game was an easy win. The Devils saw a glimpse of what the rest of the season may hold for them. They will need to be dedicated, motivated, and determined in order to reach their goal of returning to the State Championship and ultimately winning it all. Now for the meat of the season!

Rockwood Game!

What a game it was!!!! The Devils had a very slow start on Friday night and were down 30 - 9 at halftime. It looked as though the Tigers would hand the Devils a huge district loss. But the Devils returned after the half with a "NEW" attitude. Relentless play helped them to forge a comeback and pull out one the most exciting games so far this year. Xavier Howard had a huge scoring night which helped the Devils to make the comeback of the year. Good defense from the perimeter players, Darius Gallaher and Dimitrique Inman helped to create big plays at crucial times. The other "Big" play guy was Austin White who hit the winning shot in OT. Let's see if the "Heart Attack" kids can continue their winning ways into the rest of the season.

Can the Devils be district champs?

The Devils may very well have a chance this year to become the district champs. That is, if they can stay focused and determined to do whatever it takes to win the district. The Blue Devils have the tools but do they have the mental toughness it will take to go deep in the tournament run to be state bound?
